Review: Asda Wooden 2 in 1 Hob & Grill

My kids love role-play toys. I love them playing with toys where they can pretend - it fires their imagination and I love to watch them interact with each other. That's why I was so excited to take delivery of Asda's 2 in 1 Hob & BBQ Grill.

Both Rosie and Alice are about the right age range to play with toys like these. I especially love the wooden toys. This toy is great because it is 2 in 1 - with a simple flip over of the board it changes from a cooking hob in a kitchen, to a BBQ.

There are lots of accessories included with the grill, including cooking instruments, a frying pan and pretend food. The girls loved pretending to cook for each other.

They sat for a long time making each other food and chatting about it. I love to watch them play. Alice kept saying "Would you like a burger Rosie?" and Rosie obliged - including pretend eating of the final product!

Alice particularly liked changing the scenery from BBQ to kitchen and back again. It was really easy and she slid the board out herself. The utensils are a really realistic size for this age range and the food looks realistic with plenty of detail.

I think these products would make great Christmas presents. And at just £15 this is a great price for something that will give your child lots of fun and imaginative play.

Asda have a truly great range of wooden toys on offer at the moment, so if you're not set for Christmas yet then it might be worth checking out.

We were sent this product free of charge for the purpose of the review, all words and views are our own.

  1. This looks so cute - I am loving Asda wooden toys. The burger is so realistic - except it's made of wood! hehe x
