Review: Thorntons Easter Treats

I received this product free of charge for the purpose of this review. All words and views are my own.

I was delighted to receive an absolutely amazing package from Thorntons to review just in time for Easter. The kids really enjoy Easter - we look at it as a  holiday to spend some quality time together as a family, and of course - we do indulge in some yummy chocolate eating!

Thorntons have some gorgeous products for sale at the minute. Just about every corner is covered with their gift boxes - from yummy little white chocolate eggs for children to lavish luxurious eggs for a special loved one - they have it all.

We were sent the gorgeous Egg-cellent Easter Gift Collection.

I'll not lie, I actually said the word "Wow!" as I opened the box. I am sure that the photographs will tell you all you need to know about how special and fantastic I felt to be sent this huge box - it put a real smile on all our faces!

Included in the package were:

• Milk, Dark & White Mini Masterpieces Egg (270g)

• 70% Dark Chocolate Masterpiece Easter Egg (270g)

• Classics Milk Chocolate Easter Egg (303g)

• Milk Chocolate Easter Egg (153g)

• White Chocolate Easter Egg (153g)

• Special Toffee Chocolate Easter Egg (295g)

• Fabulous Fudge Chocolate Easter Egg (290g)

• Mini White Chocolate Harry Hopalot Model (60g)

• Mini Milk Chocolate Harry Hopalot Model (60g)

• Little Hot Cross Buns (78g)

• Continental Milk, White & Dark Signature (300g)

• Continental Alpini Treat Egg (38g) x2

• Harry Hopalot Lolly

• Lenny Lamb Lolly

So quite the package! This retails for £50, reduced from £75 - so I thought it was also egg-cellent value for money. I know, I know, I can hear you groaning at my pun!

The kids really enjoyed the lollies. They are small enough for a treat, and the attention to detail on the design is amazing. It was almost a shame to eat Harry Hopalot, but it just had to be done! The plain Easter eggs are great for the kids, as they are just the right size, with the minimum amount of fuss. Also, with Thorntons you know that you are getting some fantastic chocolate.

The Masterpiece eggs look amazing. They would make a fantastic gift for an older child or even an adult. The little chocolates are everything you would expect from Thorntons - rich, tasty and a real treat.

The Hot Cross Bun chocolates were definitely amazing. I thought that it was a bit strange at first, but they taste like bundles of chocolate-cinnamon spicy loveliness.

Overall I was really bowled over by this package. I'm sure that whatever treat you pick for your loved ones and children this Easter will be great. You can't really go wrong with Thorntons, you know what you are getting is good quality and definitely value for money.
