Guess How Much...You Do My Head In

Do your kids do your head in?

Mine drive me up the bloody wall at times. Sometimes I just want to shout

But I don't.

My children. All three of them talking AT me at once.

You are all doing my head in. Leave me alone.

Then when I am alone for five minutes, I realise that I never really wanted to be alone in the first place. When Emily stays over at her Grandma and Grandad's I feel like I have lost an arm.

So, yes. My children do my head in.

But my irritation is just that. My own. They are growing up so fast. My five minutes of peace alone, in the bath, on the chair, in bed...just refreshes me enough to remind myself how much I love them, and how much I want to be around them.

Little sods.

So true, when they're all here nattering, nagging and arguing I just want peace yet the instant I get it, it seems empty and hollow because I miss them. Can't win.
