Guess How Much...You Do My Head In

Do your kids do your head in?

Mine drive me up the bloody wall at times. Sometimes I just want to shout

"I don't care if it is 11am, I am NOT getting dressed!"

Alice is two years old. Which means she likes playing, and jumping, Peppa Pig, wiggly-worn pasta and making pretend cups of tea.

She also likes to call the shots.

A lot.

Review: Tablet Case Cover & Flip Stand

I was delighted when I was given the opportunity to review a tablet case cover from I use my tablet regularly and it doesn't have a protective case. And when I say that I use it regularly, obviously I mean that my children generally commandeer all electrical products in our house. And so a protective cover is clearly essential!

Two Babies Under Two

So we have two babies really close together. We didn't especially plan it that way, I mean I wasn't exactly hovering over the loo with ovulation sticks when Alice was eleven months old. Not that there would have been anything wrong with that, but Rosie was our "Happy Surprise", shall we say.

So we have the three girls. Emily aged 10. Alice aged 2, and Rosie aged 1.

OK the title of the post was a misnomer, but I'm keeping to it - and it's close enough!

If you are a blogger like me then you  may relate to some of these issues. If you are not, you may just be thinking a) why on earth anyone would want to be a blogger, and b) is she mental.

Either of these is fine.

As long as you take a selfie, write it down and addit to Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest and any other social media you can stand.

Here is what runs through my head as a blogger.

Review: Thorntons Easter Treats

I received this product free of charge for the purpose of this review. All words and views are my own.

I was delighted to receive an absolutely amazing package from Thorntons to review just in time for Easter. The kids really enjoy Easter - we look at it as a  holiday to spend some quality time together as a family, and of course - we do indulge in some yummy chocolate eating!

Review: Beco Baby Carrier

We received this product free of charge for the purpose of the review. All words and views are my own.

As you know, we have two babies under the age of three. Alice is two, and Rosie is one. Before Rosie was born we did have a conversation about what mode of transport we would use for them. After all, two babies of that age would be quite difficult to cart around!
We decided eventually that we would purchase a double buggy. This is what we use most of the time when we are out with them, and have done since Rosie was born. However, this can be tricky getting in and out of shops. When we were offered the chance to review a baby carrier by Beco we were very excited. Here is how we got on.

Thoughts From Under The Duvet

Sometimes bed is the best place to be. If you find yourself (and who doesn’t, sometimes) starting to crave the oblivion of sleep at weird and inconvenient times of day, however, it’s just possible that your mattress isn’t quite as comfortable as it was when you bought it. Unless of course it’s because you were up all night with a fractious two-year old – in which case perhaps their mattress isn’t quite doing it for them!

Getting Back Into the World of Work

This article was written by K. Watson, who is a freelance writer.

You often hear mothers saying things like “I wanted to do that… but then I had children” or “It’s alright for you, you haven’t got kids!”.

Now, it’s unlikely that these women – even for a second – regret their decisions to become a parent, but it’s undeniable that sometimes, a certain element of wishful thinking does come into play! But why does it need to be like that?

Frugal Living With Kids

This article was written by K. Watson who is a freelance writer.
Times are tough, and it’s affected us all, no matter our social status. Things can be all the more difficult when you have kids to consider – after all, they still need exactly the same care as ever. Unfortunately, if you’re currently not working, or even if you are, you’re probably feeling the pinch. When you’ve got kids, you’ll want to give them the best of everything – but not being super-rich doesn’t necessarily mean that they’ll have to go without. Rather than feel guilty about the things you can’t provide, just make a few simple changes and you’ll be living like a Queen… well, almost!

How to work from home effectively

This article was written by Amanda Walters, an experienced freelance writer and regular contributor to Huffington Post. Follow her here: @Amanda_W84

In 2011 a survey of British employers found around 60% of them were offering remote working to some of their staff, up from only 13% five years previously. Although many businesses and companies remain divided on the value of remote working – as this article from the BBC explores – for employees, it is a popular option, providing flexibility and often increasing productivity.

A326 Empire: TMA 05 TMA 06

I can't believe I only have one more essay and then the final EMA. The EMA is the externally marked assessment - the big one that counts for 50% of the grade.

No pressure then.

Show Me Where You Study

So I have taken it upon myself to tag my blog in Kev's 'Show Me Where You Study.' I was very impressed with his work space - totally in awe, in fact. So organised and well...a real office! You can read his post here. Kev writes a student blog about his journey to become a Forensic Psychologist - I like to keep up to speed with his posts.

Buying A New Bed

This is a PR Collaboration

Every now and again, something ‘big’ in the house needs replacing. Last year we bought as new fridge after the old one leaked all over the kitchen floor. More recently we replaced our ten year old washing machine because it was only washing on cold. Every time I know that I need to replace a ‘big’ household item I get a bit excited. And a bit scared at the same time. Out with the old. But how much is the new item going to hit me in the pocket??

Not Without Consent...

Do you remember any teachers telling you the age of consent to have sex?

Did your mother tell you what the legal age was?

I learned the age of consent flicking through copies of Just Seventeen at aged 12 whilst listening to Relight My Fire by Take That and Lulu, giggling at the grown-up words without a care in the world.
