Review: Hotel Chocolat Easter Egg

We were sent this Easter egg to provide an honest review. All words and views are my own.

Easter is nearly upon us - hasn't this year just flown by?? So when Hotel Chocolat asked if I would like to work with them to review one of their super-luxurious eggs of course I was delighted. We have worked with Hotel Chocolat a number of times, the kids especially loved the advent calendar we reviewed just before Christmas.
So, in true 'reviewer' form, we set to checking out this amazing egg.

Happy 'Mother's' Day

Happy Mother's Day. Mums.

But always remember you are not just Mums. You are so much more than that - you do lots of different jobs that you are probably not qualified to do - but you do them anyway, not always the best at everything, but you give it your all.

This post is dedicated to all the Mums out there who pretty much run the show. You're all amazing.

Please find below a selection of jobs that you actually do under the vast umbrella description that is the word 'mother.'

I'm Going To BritMums Live!

So as you know I am going to the blogging conference Britmums Live 2014 held in London in June this year. I'll be honest - I am scared, excited and over the moon in equal measure.

What if I trip up and fall in front of all of these people?

The Constant Question: How Do You Cope?

Let me ask you a question - are you a working Mother? Do you have a few kids and maybe you study or run a blog, or have other similar commitments.

Can I ask you a question?

How do YOU cope?

The BUY MY HOUSE Campaign...

If you read my blog you will know that a very long time ago I was a single mother.

Single parent.

Or lone parent is the term I preferred.

Great Cartoon Mysteries of our Time

Have you ever sat and watched children's television with your little ones?

It's entirely bonkers.

As you can imagine I have sat through many hours of children's telly. And you know what, I have some questions - can you relate?

A326 Empire TMA 04 & TMA 05

Knackered.

This is probably the best word to describe how I am feeling. I am still loving this course, but I am oh-so tired and starting to feel like everything is on top of me.

Mother's Day Gift Ideas

What on earth do you get your Mum for Mother's Day? Below are some ideas. I am still not sure which one I will be picking for my Mum, but even if I knew I don't think I'd put it on here - she does read this blog sometimes! I have also included a great deal in this post for a lovely photo canvas, including a discount code.

If you’re looking for a new challenge in your childcare career, setting up your own nursery could be the ideal business for you. The UK Government is now offering a start up grant to individuals who are looking to start up a nursery in England. Although it may seem like a daunting prospect, many people make a successful business out of running a nursery and it is extremely rewarding. Below are some of the things you’ll need to take into account:

Secrets of the average UK wedding revealed!

Is there such a thing as a perfect wedding? Probably not – but as long as your wedding day turns out perfectly for you and your partner, and goes the way you want it to, that’s as good as it gets, surely.

However, we can get a pretty good idea of the average wedding, thanks to some research by Berketex Bride. By average, we don’t mean ordinary; the facts and stats that the wedding dress company have pulled together reflect the most popular choices that couples around the UK make.

The Time-Debt Trap

I've not written for a bit.

Been struggling for time. Aaah, that old chestnut I hear you shouting. What the frigging hell are you doing typing this then if you are so busy???

Screw you, voices.

After the Double Buggy...

So as we have the two babies, we have a big double buggy. I love my double buggy. It keeps both my babies warm and safe and dry, and is great for days out, the school run and everything. However, it seems that pretty soon, Alice will not want to be in the double - she will be three next and I'm sure that as she gets bigger she just won't want to be pushed around in the double with her baby sister. So what are my options?

Before Your Child Turns 2

Terrible two's are a terrible affliction. I am currently living through terrible two's number two.

My youngest is close behind being one next week.

Terrible two's?

More like Twatting Two's

Favourite Holiday Books

As you can probably guess, as a student of history, my reading can be quite dry at times! I enjoy factual books, politics, source books and anything to do with history really! It's an added bonus if they relate to my module at the time, and then I might be able to use it in my essay! However, when I go on holiday, I am a bit different. I don't really like to read about historiography and theory when I am on my hols - I tend to go for something a little bit more light hearted.

What's In Your Changing Bag?

I like to think that I am an organised Mum. We have a baby changing bag that we take out with us wherever we go. Obviously having the three kids means that we pack quite a lot into our bag! We tend to take things for each of the children - even the ten year old!

Baby Safety in the Home

If you have babies you will know how hard it is to keep them safe in the home. Just the other day I went to my mum and dad's and their house (through no fault of their own) is massively unfriendly for children. My mum is a knitter, so her knitting and sewing needles are on the side, the stairs are steep and have no gate, there are no locks on the cupboards...I suppose I am just too used to having these safety precautions in place.
