Review: Asda Direct Wooden Glamour Mansion

We were so excited to review this Wooden Glamour Mansion from Asda Direct. I never had a doll's house as a child, and I was really chuffed that mine would get to review one! The first task was to set it up - and of course, that was Dad's job.

Warren said it was easy enough to assemble. The instructions were clear and it was all screw-in. So no problems - easy for me to say, of course!

The House

All I can say is wow. It has a kitchen/living area on the ground floor with stairs up to the bedroom and bathroom. More stairs then take you to the loft bedroom, which has balconies either side. The house is colourful and sturdy, and also includes 12 items to dot around the house - table, chairs, bed and other household items.

It also has two windows either side and a delightful little blue roof. Can you tell how much I love this house, never mind my kids!

The house stands at around four feet tall. It doesn't include any dolls, but we have lots of dolls and toys to add ourselves, so that is not a problem.

This retails at around £60, and I think it is an absolute bargain. It does say that it is suitable for children ages 3+, but all my girls, age  >1, 2 and 10 absolutely love this. The only negative I can think of is the size - it is quite bulky, so you would need plenty of room for this.

Our Verdict

We love this. It would make a great present for a little girl. Literally hours of fun.

Now all we have to do is find somewhere to put it...

We were sent this product free of charge for the purpose of this review, all words and views are our own.

  1. This is gorgeous! I can't wait until we hit the doll's house stage.
