Event Preview: Dinosaur Zoo at the Lowry

This event at the Lowry in Manchester looks absolutely amazing, so I thought that I would pop some information here - this may be something that you are interested in seeing. Unfortunately, we can't make the date due to other commitments (boo!)

Dinosaur Zoo creators 'Erth' use amazing puppets to bring dinosaurs to life in an interactive and imaginative live show. The show is suitable for families with children aged 3+.

During the show, audiences are invited to interact, touch and feel the dinosaur puppets - discovering what they might have been like for themselves. The Zoo Keeper introduces each of the puppet dinosaurs to the audience, much like an ordinary animal show - but this show looks to me like no other!

This show has travelled all over the world and is fast becoming a hit with children and adults alike - the mix of entertaining humour, adventurous, daring and informative learning being attractive to all audiences.

Here is a short video of what the show entails:

Australian creators, Erth create live theatre productions and have worked with giant puppetry and inflatable environments. Erth has performed internationally at events and festivals, including the Sydney Olympic Games Opening Ceremony.

I think this whole show looks amazing, and we are pretty gutted to be missing out on this occasion. If you can get a chance to see this, then do - your kids will love it. Having watched the Youtube video, I would say that they are right about the show being suitable for kids aged 3+ - I don't think my Alice could watch it at aged 2, she might get a bit frightened. For older kids though, I think it's great.

The show features at The Lowry

Tickets are priced at £13.50 and £16

Shows are Friday 4th October 1pm

Saturday 5th October 10.30am, 1.30pm and 3.30pm

So what do you think? If you are going let me know, let us know what it's like!

This preview is my own, I have no affiliation with Dinosaur Zoo or The Lowry. We were invited to one of the shows but unfortunately could not attend. All words and views are my own.
